Rotarian Colonel Vinay Kumar has been chosen as the new president of Rotary Hazaribagh Valley. He took oath of the post in presence of District Governor Bihar and Jharkhand Sanjay Khemka on Thursday late evening.
The program started with patriotic song presented by members of St Xavier’s School’s interact club. On this occasion, the District Governor handed over six sewing machines to the widows residing in different villages to earn livelihood for their families. Outgoing President Rotarian Anil Sharma and Secretary Rotarian Sunil Agrawal gave a detailed account of the activities carried out by Rotary Hazaribagh Valley during last one year. New president said that in 2014-15 service projects will be in priority.
He informed that Rohani Devi Rotary Mission Netralaya, Mashipirhi, will become functional from March 2015. On this occasion 10 new members joined Rotary Hazaribagh Valley. Rajesh Goyal will act as secretary, Radhamohan Prasad as vice president and Amit Ranjan as treasurer in 2014-15.
