Coalition Govt blaming Centre for its own failures: BJP

State BJP president cum Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash has attacked the activities of the coalition government by questioning the functioning of the government. He said that this government has proved to be a complete failure in this disaster. “The government should focus on saving the lives of patients, rather than blaming the Central government. People in hospitals are yearning for lack of order. Patients are suffering and bids are being made for beds in hospitals. On one hand, the patients are dying due to lack of ventilators, on the other hand due to the negligence of the government, it is sad not to install the ventilator from the PM Care Fund. It is also sad to not be able to procure the portable oxygen concentrator received from PM Care,” said Prakash.

He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is engaged day and night in dealing with the second web of Covid 19. “Under this, 450 metric tonnes of oxygen was supplied from Oxygen Express in various states of the country. Under Oxygen Friendship, 80 metric tonnes of oxygen is being supplied from Saudi Arabia. 3131 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen has been supplied by the steel plants. Air Force's IAF C-17 arrived in India from Dubai carrying six cryogenic oxygen containers. Railways and Air Force are being deployed to reduce the travel time of oxygen tankers. There is a strict vigilance on hoarding and black marketing of essential medicines and injections. The Center has provided more than 15 crore vaccine doses to the states for free. Like last year, this year also it is providing food grains to 80 crore poor,” said the MP.

As many as 100,000 portable oxygen concentrators will be purchased from PM Cares Fund. 500 more PSA oxygen plants based on technology developed by DRDO will be approved under PM Cares Fund. A 551 PAF of oxygen product plant will be set up at public health centers across the country through the PM Cares Fund. In view of the situation, the PM has removed the custom duty and health cess on oxygen and oxygen related equipment.

He said that the Central Government has taken Covid-19 strain two very seriously and to deal with this, the work of registration of vaccine for citizens above 18 years has started. Foreign vaccines have also been allowed to be distributed in India. An action plan is being chalked out to set up an oxygen plant in every district. The Prime Minister himself is in touch with all the states. To increase oxygen capacity, steel companies have ordered a certain number of nitrogen tankers to convert.

Prakash said that according to the direction of the national leadership, the worker service of Jharkhand BJP is engaged in expanding the organization campaign. Under this, food, oxygen, medicine and doctor's advice are being provided to the needy under providing food to the homes of patients, face cover, ration kit, helpline. Activists are engaged in health information, vaccination campaigns and senior citizens service to the elderly. He said that the party worker continued to work in human interest to deal with the Covid infection. Service work is being done by creating helpline numbers and committees.

The BJP MP said that the State government was lagging behind in the vaccination campaign. “This government has proved to be unable to meet the vaccination target. The government still has 6,46,644 vaccines available. About 32 lakh people have taken the vaccine. Meanwhile, the vaccination drive has been started for people above 18 years of age from 1 May. The government is busy blaming the Central government for its failure by making false accusations of not having the vaccine. He said that Health Minister Banna Gupta cannot hide his failure by speaking loudly.

The health condition of the State has also been questioned by the minister of his own party and the state president of the Congress Committee. In this difficult time, it is not big words but big things to be done. The Bharatiya Janata Party is also playing the role of positive opposition step by step in this difficult time,” he said.
