Work in the all three coal mine areas in Bermo and Giridih coal sector came to a grinding halt as a five-day strike called by all five major trade unions, entered the second day on Wednesday. The Central Coal limited had already incurred a hefty loss due to the ongoing strike. Sources said that the strike affected the production, loading and dispatch from the collieries of CCl in Bermo.
