Central Mine Planning & Design Institute limited (CMPDI) celebrated the Coal India Foundation day with full fervor on November 1 and 7, 2017. The Chief Guest Professor Shailendra Singh, Director, IICM in his speech emphasized on importance of happiness and stress management in life to perform in better way. Self-esteem and self-evaluation is the essential for improving one's inner strength and toughness of mind. He also told that appreciation of good things happening in one's life will bring happiness in life.
On this occasion, Shekhar Saran, CMD, CMPDI highlighted the achievements of CMPDI during FY 16-17 and 17-18. He stated that CMPDI has achieved all time high drilling of 11.26 lakh meter with an impressive CAGR of about 19 per cent since 2006-07. He further stated that out of 315 BT of coal resources as on 01.04.2017, proved coal resources were 143 BT which was mainly due to CMPDI's efforts. He stressed upon the need of diversifying into other than coal sector and also emphasized upon taking up regional exploration of coal in addition of detailed drilling. He also stated that CMPDI has developed the application for online generation of environmental monitoring report directly from the equipment used for analysis and for this purpose, generation of environmental monitoring report of CCl command has been made operational.
Awards in different categories were given to the employees of CMPDI for excellent performance in their respective area of operation.
N.P.Singh, B.K.Dey, Parag Majumdar, Alok Sharma and M.N.Thakur got the lifetime achievement award for excellent contribution in their respective fields. Additionally, Soni Varshney, Kumar Vaibhav, Vikrant Trivedi, R.P. Singh got the 'Young Executive' award. Also, Dr. Om Prakash got the "Medical Services" award for rendering the valuable services in this field. Moreover, AK Singh, Jenet Sonam lang , B. B. Nayak and K.K.Kachhap got the Non-Executives Award in their respective field of services.
On this occasion, B.N.Shukla, Director (T/CRD); A.K. Chakraborty, Director (T/ES); Ex-CMDs and Directors of Coal India family, members of JCC, representatives of CMOAI, Smt. Meeta Saran, President of kasturiMahila Sabha and other reputed persons were also present.
