Soren-led delegation interacts with industry representatives

A delegation of senior State Government officials led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday interacted with the industry representatives from across the country in Delhi and welcomed them to invest in the State of Jharkhand. The ‘Stakeholders’ Conference’ was on Saturday organised by the Department of Industries in Delhi.

On the occasion, the CM said that all the necessary and basic facilities are available in Jharkhand, which are necessary for the establishment of an industry. “There is no dearth of anything in Jharkhand. If we are able to add value to the resources present in our State, then we will be able to place Jharkhand in the leading states of the country and the people of the industry will have an important role in it,” he said.

The CM said that Jharkhand has a separate identity from the mineral wealth present in the State. Also, the industries established here have given Jharkhand a different identity in the country as well as in the world. “Many industries have emerged from Jharkhand itself. Jharkhand has the largest steel industry in Asia. Many industries including HEC, Tata Steel, Bokaro Steel Plant were established in Jharkhand itself. For the first time, fertilizer factory also started in Jharkhand. The government assures you that you should come to Jharkhand and establish industries. The Government will stand with you and help you in setting up industries,” he said.

Soren added such arrangements will be established in the coming times in Jharkhand, which will give a new direction to the development of the State. Every section of the society will benefit from it. The mines and minerals sector is not only for the establishment of industries, but also the Government is working towards other sectors as well. Whether it is in the field of agriculture, motor vehicles, electronic manufacturing, or in the field of food processing, the possibilities are immense. There is a need to promote them.

The CM said Jharkhand is not only a pioneer in natural resources, but also has natural beauty in Jharkhand, and the State is also moving towards rapid development in the field of tourism. In the field of tourism, all possibilities are being worked out; employment opportunities are being sought in this too.

He said he focuses more on working on new things. There is no shortage of skills among the youth of our State. In the field of sports, the youth of Jharkhand are flying high in the country and abroad. Investments can also be made in the field of hockey and football in Jharkhand.

The CM said the waterway in the State is also accessible. There is also Haldia Port in Bengal, which is just 250 km from Ranchi. There is Paradeep, which is 400 km and the under construction port on river Ganges in Sahebganj, which will start soon. It is just 350 km from Ranchi. He said that a place has also been identified by the State Government for air cargo in the State. Possibilities are also being explored for air cargo in the State and the Government is moving in this direction.

While addressing the people of the industry, the CM said, “You all give suggestions and share your ideas. If there is a problem anywhere, talk if there is a problem. The Government is standing by you. Together we will move towards the establishment and development of industry in the State. It has electricity, water, land, natural resources and human resources,” he said.
