CM to take Dadai Dubey episode to Delhi Darbar

Congress talks tough on issue

latest rhetoric of State Rural Development Minister Chandrashekhar Dubey against Chief Minister Hemant Soren has not gone down well. The annoyed Chief Minister has decided to battle it out and will leave for Delhi on Friday to meet top Congress leaders. The meeting besides others would see Dubey issue being raised prominently.

On the other hand, the open allegations of Dadai Dubey, considered ‘loose cannon’ in Jharkhand politics, about corruption and casteism on the Chief Minister have also irked his own party Congress. Pradesh Congress Committee president Sukhdeo Bhagat issuing a veiled threat to the foul mouthed MlA from Bishrampur cited the penal action taken by the party against its six Andhra Pradesh MPs.

“The party has taken his statements seriously. The hysterical manner in which he is acting will not do. He should understand the he (Chief Minister) along with all have to go in elections. He is acting in an irresponsible manner and speaking nonsense. He should know that when the party did not hesitate in expelling six of its MPs then what is he,” Sukhdeo Bhagat told The Pioneer. Bhagat is also leaving for Delhi on Friday and meet party high command.

Indifferent with the gung-ho, Dubey left to meet party’s top leaderships in Delhi on Thursday evening. “I am leaving today evening and would meet Soniaji, Rahulji and even the Prime Minister. I would present my point of view before them and concerns and ask whether I should resign or not. If they say that I should quit then it will not take a minute of mine,” said the firebrand Congress legislator.

Nevertheless, he continued with his allegations and charged the Chief Minister for hand-in-glove with sand mafias and also branded him as casteist. “He sold balu (sand) which had created so much uproar inside and outside Assembly. It was decided in the Cabinet that auctioning would be cancelled but woh ada hua hai (he is adamant). It is costing dearly to common man. He is also strategically transferring Brahmin officials out of my areas with vested interest and attacking them with ill will,” said Dubey before leaving.

It not the first time when the Minister has all out in open against the Hemant Soren Government in which Congress is also a partner. Party in-charge for Jharkhand BK Hariprasad after a tumults meeting had passed instruction to the leaders of dire consequences if such grievances were raised publicly. The instruction apart, the

Coordination Committee formed as a platform to raise such issues, is yet to function properly and just one meeting of it has taken place so far. Dubey’s tirade is also aimed to his political aspirations in the election year.

He is a front runner for party ticket from Dhanbad lok Sabha constituency and seems to be more interested in national politics. Party insiders think this can be his strategy for securing party ticket more than inviting ire. Considering his stature it is very unlikely that Congress would take any action

against him.
