CM talks development during poll tour in Bokaro

Chief Minister Raghubar Das took a whirlwind tour of Bokaro district holding 17 public meetings during his Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra on Monday. Talking to the masses the CM reiterated that the government is committed to making Jharkhand an affluent and happy place to live in a bid to realise the dreams of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and other martyrs of the State, who sacrificed their lives for the purpose.

“All-round development of tribals, dalits, exploited and backward classes is our priority. Jharkhand also has strength, dedication and now coincidence is also there. The foundation of New Jharkhand has been laid in the last five years with the basic mantra of service, dedication, honesty and complete development of the State.

It is a hallmark of this foundation that in last five years, we were given electricity to 30 lakh houses, health facilities to 57 lakh families, smoke relief to 40 lakh households, benefits of Rs 3 lakh crores and other schemes to 32 lakh farmers. All this is a result of your support received in 2014. The government of double engines is ensuring development at a fast pace,” he said. “The State inherited displacement. The Congress is to blame for this. It displaced people, but did not do the work of rehabilitation. The double engine is in favour of rehabilitation first then displacement. The government provided pucca houses for the displaced family at a cost of Rs 245 crores during Assembly building construction in Ranchi. The present government thinks that the land donator should get a land. The displaced family should get their rights. They should get priority because they give their land with a hope.

The present government will definitely fulfill their hopes,” he added. Das said that Marafari will be established as an industrial township. “The shops running in the hut in Bundiabad will be transformed into pucca shops.

Government will help BIADA and AIDA, because small, medium and cottage industries are the drivers of employment generation. We have to create employment and self-employment by promoting these industries. It has already started,” he said.

The CM said that Congress and JMM consider tribals just as vote bank. “If JMM chief Dishom Guru (Shibu Soren) had made electricity reach every house, who would have called hi, Dishom Guru? His family members have snatched land of tribals across the State.

If the incumbent Government has done anything like that then you should tell the people directly. Son and father from JMM became chief minister, but they never worked for conserving tribal language and culture.

The incumbent Government developed Luguburu situated in Bokaro district, ensured education in Olchiki language from class 1 to 5 and the tribal society facing instability for years got a new identity in the leadership of Central and State Government.
