Taking swift action under the State Government’s resolve to weed out corruption from the State Chief Minister Hemant Soren today gave his nod on the proposal to initiate departmental proceedings by suspending two gazzeted officers of the State Government, Shashibhushan Verma, then Block Development Officer, Sariya and presently Circle Officer, Dumri and Sunita Kumari, Circle Officer, Sariya.
Shashibhushan Verma, the then Circle Officer, is accused of illegally renaming government land by online transferring it to various non-Raiyats on various dates by Barki Sariya of Sariya Mouza. Sunita Kumari, Circle Officer, Saria has been charged with illegally converting government land online on 23 August 2019 in the name of Mahesh Kumar Modi.
The charge against the above officers is of a serious nature. Sub-divisional officer Bagodar / Sariya, Giridih have found the allegation correct after investigation. Therefore, in the light of the letter of the Deputy Commissioner, Giridih, suspending Sasibhushan Verma, the then Block Development Officer-in-Charge Circle Officer, Sariya, presently Circle Officer, Dumri and Sunita Kumari, Zonal Officer, Sariya to initiate departmental proceedings against him. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has agreed to the proposal.
