Chief Minister Raghubar Das today stressed on simplifying the processes for investors in the State for Ease of Doing Business. Holding a review meeting with senior officials, the CM today said that Ease of Doing Business is in the interest of nation and State.

Rules are meant for development and officers should resolve people’s problems. Schemes should be implemented soon with transparency and accountability. The officers at ground level should implement the schemes effectively, he said.

The CM directed that no work should be done offline, especially in the departments which have been made online.

“If an application is incomplete, concerned officers should take cognizance and ask the applicant to complete it. They should make sure that rejection of applications should be decreased. Everyone should endeavour to minimise problems. Red tapism will not be tolerated at any condition. Work should be done on a mission mode,” the CM said.

Encouraging officials, Das said that every employee and official of the State is first a citizen. And, therefore, he said that it is everyone’s responsibility to develop the State in every possible way.

“If an official delays work giving excuse of rules and regulation, action would be taken against him. Everyone gets one’s salary from the tax paid by poor people; we have to work for bringing a change in their lives. We have a responsibility towards the State, which needs to be fulfilled,” said the CM.

Das, on the occasion, also stressed on establishment of food processing units to increase farmers’ income.

“When they get maximum price of their produce, they will prosper. local people will also get work. Pollution, labour, Water, Urban Development and Energy play important role in implementing reforms.

The State Government will conduct meeting after every three months and review the situation. Departmental secretaries should conduct meetings time to time and do the needful for the investors and businessmen,” added the CM.

He directed the Urban Development department to clear building maps online to control corruption and asked for a Special cell in Jansamvad for investors. He directed to run a campaign and sort out all pending cases in 15 days.

The CM also directed the Energy department to improve supply, billing and repair. He said that no raid should be done without informing the senior officers. Officers of different departments should work like a team. He directed the Forest Department to stop offline and accept online applications only.
