CM Raghubar Das has written a letter to the Union Rail Minister requesting him to take proper steps to ensure direct connectivity of Dumka to Kolkata, Bhagalpur, Patna and Delhi by completing Dumka-Rampur Haat and Mandarhill-Dumka rail line during the Rail budget of 2015-16. The CM stated that these two rail projects are pending for a long time and Jasidih-Dumka, Mandarhill-Dumka and Dumka-Rampur Haat rail lines were approved during former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure. These three projects were started in 2002 through a contract with Jharkhand Government and Rail Ministry.
