Taking another step towards giving e-governance a new height in Jharkhand, CM Raghubar Das on Wednesday inaugurated portal of Jharkhand State Information Commission. Initiating onlinejsic.jharkhand.gov.in, the CM said that transparency and prompt disposal of work were the demand of the hour. He said that this portal would help people get information soon. Chief Information Commissioner Aditya Swaroop said that second appeal could be lodged online through this portal. “People need not come to JSIC. After acceptance of online application, people will be intimated through SMS. At the same time, information regarding their case number, date of hearing etc. will also be given on it,” said Swaroop. Information Commissioner Prabodh Ranjan Das, Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary, Secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Barnwal and other officers were also present at the time this portal was launched.
