Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that  the full expansion of his Cabinet would be completed very soon and there is no differences on this issue among the coalition partners.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his father and JMM supremo Shibu Soren and a host of party leaders to pay tribute to the slain JMM leader Nirmal Mahto on his death anniversary on Thursday. Talking to the mediapersons at the Circuit House during his first visit as Chief Minister, Soren said, “We are working on the expansion of the Cabinet and everything would move ahead smoothly”.

The first expansion took place on August 4 and the size of the Hemant Cabinet was still  three short of the constitutionally stipulated 12. When questioned on the Common Minimum Programme (CMP), he said that the agendas have been prepared as per the interest of the people. “We want to bring back the pace of development in the State. Our focus is on that the people reap benefits of the welfare schemes. The partners in the Government are also united,” he said.

To a query about Govern-ment’s approach towards industrial development, Soren said that if they were serious to carry out development, “we will provide all support and if they failed, we will deal with them accordingly.” He said the Government aims to transform the State population into credible asset as far as human resource is concerned and the purpose behind all social welfare projects is to make people self-reliant.

To a query Soren said that his party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha withdrew support from the erstwhile Arjun Munda Government in January because it felt that the responsibility towards the people was not being fulfilled.
