Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed the authorities to carry out cleanliness and sanitation work in the capital city even in night.
He asked them to do cleaning at night between 10 PM to 12 midnight especially in the commercial areas and Morhabadi where people come for morning walk in early morning.
Das, while holding a review meeting of cleanliness of the Capital City, asked to give night allowance to the workers working in the night.
He said that dustbins should be made mandatory for shopkeepers and vendors. People should be made aware to throw the garbage in the dustbin. He directed to set up ‘waste to energy plant’ in Jhiri also.
The CM said that where Excel Infra has taken the contract of sanitation, it must be cleaned by the company. Rest of the places should be
cleaned by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation. Supervisors should do their work with dedication. If complaint of corruption is received against them, they will be terminated.
Das also warned Excel Infra to improve cleanliness system or the company contract will be terminated. As many as 33 wards out of 55 are under the company’s supervision and sanitation must be maintained.
He said to speed up the formation of Swashashan parishad. People in between 18-35 years who want to be a
part of it should be connected with it. Caste and income certificates will be made by these people.
He said that all vehicles lifting garbage should know toll free number and Swaksh App.

Khare, Principal Secretary Urban Development Arun Kumar Singh and Municipal Commissioner Shantanu Agrahari and other people were present in the meeting.
