Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed Giridih SP to lodge an FIR in 2013 Rajkumar Bhattacharya murder case. The CM, during Jan Samvaad programme on Tuesday, took up 22 matters at Project Building.

“Go and meet the SP, your FIR will be lodged immediately,” the CM said. He also asked Giridih SP to look into the matter personally and solve it as soon as possible.

According to complainant Anandita Bhattacharya, her husband was allegedly killed by Subhash Bhattacharya, Saif Ali, and Kishun at his home at 5 pm on November 17, 2013 against which they lodged a complaint on November 20, 2013 at Giridih police station, but no FIR was lodged.

According to Bhattacharya, when the OC refused to lodge an FIR, she took the matter to Giridih SP following which he ordered a CID probe. Despite a direction was issued by the CID to lodge an FIR, the same wasn’t done and all the accused were roaming freely.

The complainant also seemed to be satisfied with the CM’s direction. “CM said that FIR will be lodged within 24 hours,” said the complainant.

Warning the officials posted in rural and distant areas, the CM warned that they will not be spared if the problems of their areas reach Ranchi through Jan Samvaad.

The CM added that people coming from rural areas say that the officials, in spite of hearing their problems, chased them out. “This is not done... Officials will have to solve the problems of the poor and downtrodden,” said the CM, adding most of the complaints are related to the Urban Development Depart-ment, Electricity and Power and Drinking Water and Sanitation Department.

Jageshwar Modi of Deoghar had a complaint that Bedan Modi has been illegally acquiring Gairmajarua land of the Forest Department but no official was taking any action against him. When asked, the Deoghar SP accepted that the complaint was true and action was being taken against Bedan. Illegal acquisition of land has also been stopped, said the DC.

Reacting to the issue, the CM ordered Deoghar DC to take action against illegal land acquisition after taking out a proper survey of the same. Plantation of trees must also be done on such lands under greenery drive being undertaken by the state Government.

On the complaint lodged by Gupteshwar Prasad, Das directed officials to complete Primary Health Centre at Bhavnathpur, fate of which has been in limbo for last eight years.

The CM also ordered to get the market vacated immediately from illegally captured Gairmajarua land at Tazpur in Hazaribagh on the complaint of Suraj Kumar. Concerned officials assured the CM that the land will be evacuated soon.
