Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday gave his approval to set up 38 degree colleges in a phase-wise manner. As per Budget 2016-17 announcements, the Government has to open colleges in every Assembly constituency by the year 2022.
The CM has approved colleges in 35 Assembly constituencies and three other places and the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts will soon be instructed to make available land for the purpose. After the approval, five colleges will be opened under Ranchi University, 10 colleges will be opened under Vinoba Bhave University, eight will be opened under Sido Kanhu University, six under Nilamber Pitamber University and five colleges will be there under Kolhan University.
