Defending itself on Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ remark over JMM Chief Shibu Soren at Shikaripara, BJP State General Secretary Deepak Prakash said on Friday that the CM never used any indecent and indecorous words against him. Talking to the media persons at Party headquarters in Ranchi, Prakash said that the CM only meant that ‘Guruji’ had become irrelevant for the party.
Speaking during a workers conference at Shikaripara in Dumka, Das had questioned how long the people of Santhal Pargana would carry Shibu Soren along with themIJ He had said that both the father and son have been serving their interests by duping the people there and had been doing politics on the issue of ‘jal, jungle and zameen’ (water, forest and land).
“The CM only meant that he has now become irrelevant both inside and outside the party which has been proved time and again by his family members only,” said Prakash. If he was so important for the JMM, then why neither his son Hemant Soren nor his daughter in law Sita Soren vacated the seat for him during 2010 elections, he added.
The BJP General Secretary further added that the way ‘Guruji’ lost Tamar bi-elections despite being the Chief Minister was not hidden from anybody. “After losing Tamar bi-elections, he blamed the tribal leader Pradeep Balmuchu for his defeat,” he said.
Moreover, the media reports that Guruji had been house arrested, was never rebutted by the family members that also strengthens the belief that he has become irrelevant for the party, Prakash said.
