Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das made a short visit to Hazaribagh on Friday morning to have a closed door talks with veteran Yashwant Sinha at the residence.

About 10:15 am his chopper landed at PTC ground from where he went straight to Risabh Vatika, Demotand —the residence of former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha. A closed door meeting took place between the two leaders for about 20 minutes.

When asked about the purpose of his visit and meeting, Das said, “it was a personal visit, I had not visited here after becoming CM so I came today.”

At Risabh Vatika party workers of Hazaribagh and Ramgarh district were present in a large number and after meeting both Das and Sinha addressed them.

Das said, “It is matter of pride for the State that we have achieved the 3rd position in comparison to previous the 29th position in the country on the scale of development and creating business environment, while Bihar is still on the 21st position. Our Government is pledged to make the State develop within five years”.

The CM said, “We had started a campaign for the State Budget in which any person can give suggestions to us. A State cannot prosper without the help of dedicated workers and you all will have to take the burden to make the people aware about the new schemes and policies of both State and Central Governments so that common people get benefited.

Regarding the fast unto death agitation of inmates of JP central jail, the Chief Minister said, “This matter is under the jurisdiction of Supreme Court of India. We have decided to write a letter to the apex court to finalise the case as soon as possible”.

During his short address, the CM consoled the workers that next month his Government will reconstitute all the committees responsible to look into developmental and other activities. On drought condition prevailing in the State, Das said that detailed report of the situation has been sought from all districts.

Earlier Yashwant Sinha welcomed Das at his residence and said, “In a short span, the CM has earned good name of the State in the country. I had made the CM acquainted with your feelings and demands and he had promised to visit Hazaribagh once again next month and have a one-day night halt here”.

Sinha also hinted that in Friday’s meeting he had given some suggestions regarding the next Budget of the State.
