Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday called his party’s manifesto or Sankalp Patra, a document promising good governance, security and prosperity of the country. The CM termed the BJP manifesto as vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ at the same time having a firm hand in dealing with terrorism, scraping Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir and party commitment to build Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with BJP national president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and others released the BJP manifesto—three days ahead of Lok Sabha elections beginning on April 11.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh heads the BJP manifesto committee and for preparing manifesto, the party had collected feedback from across the country.
Das, welcoming the manifesto said, “The BJP manifesto talks about ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, as the party believes in emancipation and uplift of all sections of society. Much of schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had catered to all sections of society be it housing, toilets, Ujjwala, Ayushman Yojana and others.”
Calling former Congress party as biggest communal party, Das said, “It was former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who had talked about minorities having first claim in country’s national resources which was nothing but a divisive politics of Congress government.” In 2006, then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while addressing at national development council meet had said that Muslim had ‘first claim’ on resources, sparking off a row.
Das said, “The BJP manifesto is vision of Modi jee, while Congress manifesto is illusionary full with false ideas.” Targeting Congress manifesto Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY) as an attempt to befool people, Das said, “The Congress government had ruled the country for fifty five years but have not taken any concrete steps for removing poverty. During elections Congress slogan is Congress Ka Haath Garibo Ke Saath but after election the slogan changes to Congress Ka Haath Amiro Ke Saath.”
The Chief Minister also tried to counter the allegations of Opposition parties that Modi government had failed to tackle the issue of unemployment in country. He said, “The BJP government in centre for creating job opportunities had focused on skill development of youth. Through Mudra loan there are around 12 crore beneficiaries, similarly in last five years around 120 mobile companies have been set up in country.”
Das while highlighting the silent features of BJP manifesto once again expressed confidence that the BJP will win all 14 seats in State at the same time calling JMM as biggest exploiter of tribal in State. He said, “The JMM chief Shibu Soren and his son Hemant Soren are being the anti-tribal and biggest violators of Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Paragna Tenancy Act (CNT/SPT Act).” The CM said that the JMM patriarch family had amassed properties of tribal at different parts of State which include making several land registries in a day.
