As Chief Minister, Hemant Soren could not reach Palamu due to bad weather conditions, he turned tech-savvy and used tool of communication at its best! The CM called up the local organiser present for the workers’ meet, about 165 kilometers away from Capital Ranchi and requested them to put his mobile phone on loudspeaker mode so that he can address the crowd though not by face to face.

“Since the CM could not make it to the conference, he addressed the huge crowd gathered here on speaker phone for few minutes to boost up their morale,” said general secretary of JMM central committee Supriyo Bhattacharya. A working committee meeting of his party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was organised at Shivajee Maidan at Daltonganj in which Chief Minister Soren as well as party chief Shibu Soren was to take part.

In his address the CM assured party workers that he would soon come to meet them and also that Palamau would be declared as drought affected division soon, informed Bhattacharya.

Calling the meeting a great success, Bhattacharya said there were some important decisions taken during it where after reviewing the current status of the organisational structure, the party expects that it will bag at least 6 Assembly seats out of nine in Palamau division. “We also hope that the party will regain the Palamau lok Sabha seat in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections,” he added.

But according to the local party workers, there were a bit of dissatisfaction among them as the CM could not reach to attend the meeting. “Several people wanted to join the party today in the presence of the Hemant Soren, but failed,” said JMM district president Rajendra Sinha. He said that the party is committed to continue with the present alliance and follow the party guidelines without making any compromises.

Soren also asked the party workers to be prepared for any situation in the coming elections. The party had organised an open workers meet for Palamu division in order to get inputs from the workers end. According to Party’s General Secretary Vinod Pandey, working of the Hemant Soren Government was approved by the party workers the in the last 100 days.

Though, the JMM had made all preparations to outshine AJSU party’s spectacular Shows across the State in the recent past but bad weather put cold water on its plans since Soren could not make to the conference. The meeting was also attended by local MP Kameshwar Baitha and JMM leaders Bablu Pandey and Munna Thakur.
