Chief Minister Hemant Soren today asked officials to prepare a database of forest produce and agricultural produce in different areas of the State. “Prepare mechanisms for value addition and marketing of these produce according to the database. Prepare an action plan by coordinating with the institutions related to forest produce and agricultural produce,” he said while instructing the office bearers in the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Co-operative Federation Ltd. Ranchi, held in the Chief Minister's room located in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Wdnesday.
In the meeting, the CM also directed the officials of Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd to set up a skill development center for capacity development of forest produce and agricultural produce.
The CM directed the officials to appoint manpower soon for timely execution of various works and activities of Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd. Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd should ensure that the collection, marketing and processing of forest produce produced in the forest areas of the state can be done in a better way. He directed the officials to constitute a committee for determination of State Procurement and Marketing Policy and committee for determination of State Credit Linkage Policy. In the meeting, the registered bye-law of the Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd was adopted. Some other important proposals were also discussed in the meeting.
Agriculture Minister Badal, Additional Chief Secretary L Khiyangte, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary KK Soan, Secretary Abu Bakr Siddiqui, CEO of Sido-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary Jaiprakash Sharma and Managing Director of Jhascolamp, Jhamcofed and Vegfed and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
