Promotions in all services and posts of the State Government have been banned with immediate effect till further orders. Chief MinisterHemant Soren, today ordered to stop promotions in government services and posts after its review in a special committee meeting of the Legislative Assembly relating to the promotion of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes.
The Department of Personnel Administrative Reforms and Official Language has issued a letter in this regard. Instructions have been issued in this regard to all departmental heads, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners of districts. The CM today held a meeting with members of the special committee of the Legislative Assembly related to the matter of promotion of Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste officials and employees and took information about the entire situation.
