nOn the last day of campaigning for three Lok Sabha constituencies in State Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday held public rallies and foot-march in Mandar and Bero areas of Ranchi district seeking votes for BJP candidates. He appealed to the masses to exercise their franchise keeping in mind national interest and give a befitting reply to those praising Jinnah.

The CM, while addressing people in Bero, said that the Congress party sees role of Jinnah in the independence of nation. “Congressmen give statements that Jinnah has played an important role in securing independence and development of the nation. Congress doesn’t see Birsa Aba, Veer Budhu Bhagat, Mahatma Gandhi and other great men, who sacrificed everything for the independence of the country,” said he.

Das asked people to give proper reply to those who praise Jinnah and raise questions on Army’s valour on April 29 when elections for the first phase in Jharkhand will take place. The CM was addressing a gathering at Mahadani Temple in Bero on Saturday.

The CM further said that it is upon the people of the nation to decide who will keep the country secure and under whose leadership it will tread the path of all-round development. “It is your right as well as duty. Use your vote for the interest of the nation. Press on lotus symbol and vote for Modi Ji,” he appealed to people.

Later, holding another poll rally in Garhwa, Das said that the Mahagathbandhan is a swindling coalition, which is doing politics of caste and family.  “Congress has plundered the country for 67 years.  Now, nationalism, development and good governance are the focal point of politics.  Now, there is a hunger for development in the country,” he said.

Das said that casteism and vote bank politics have done huge damage to the country.  “For 67 years, the politics of dynasty was prevalent in the State. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the people rejected caste, dynasty and gave a clear mandate in 2014.  Development that happened in four and a half years is in front of everyone,” he added.

The CM further said that after December, the area will get electricity for 24 hours.  “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terrorism and extremism are counting their last breath.  Narendra Modi has become a global leader today,” he said.

Das said that this election is not for the MP but for the security, and development of the country.   He said that in the coming days Palamu and Garhwa will be known as the developed districts.
