Calling upon industrialists across the globe and the country gathered at the Global Investors Summit to take advantage of the land of opportunities, Chief Minister Raghubar Das announced that the State will host a ‘Pravasi Jharkhandi Sammelan’ in November this year.

“I am enthralled with your support and participation and announce from this dais that we will be organizing ‘Pravasi Jharkhandi Sammelan’ on Nov 28 - 30. We will also organize our next ‘Global Investors’ Summit’ in the year 2019-20,” the CM said, addressing over 6,000 delegates and representatives from across the world, including foreign ambassadors and industrialists here on Thursday.

Das stressed on the human resources of the State and said, “Though we are known for our rich mineral deposits and steel and automobile industry, I feel our biggest assets are our people. Nearly 60 per cent of our population is between 15 to 59 years of age. The gross state domestic product growth rate (at a constant price) is 12.1 per cent and the growth rate of per capita income is 11.10 per cent. This demonstrates that Jharkhand is a fast emerging economy in the country,” he said.

The CM said that the State animal elephant was flying today. “This flight is not abnormal….This is the flight of our dreams. This flight represents the dream of 32.5 million people. The green colored wings of elephant symbolize the natural wealth that our State is bestowed with. We are committed to march towards the path of integrated development while preserving our nature,” said he.

Stressing on the administrative changes brought in the present regime the CM said that the government is using enabling policy framework, responsive administration to bring in transformation in Governance and in execution of programmes. “To simplify the investment and its regular monitoring, we have Online Single Window System. We are moving towards becoming a paperless government. We have formulated 16 new policies. Jharkhand has been no. 1 in terms of labour reforms for the last two years. I would also like to share that Jharkhand is 3rd state which has adopted GST and we are ready for its implementation,” he added.

The CM urged the industrialists that this was the most opportune time when they should look forward to invest in Jharkhand.  “In order to avail the advantages from the key policy reforms at the Centre, we have formulated policies, which are well aligned with the rapidly changing requirement of industry and other stakeholders. I can speak with conviction that our policies are among the most competitive policies in India and perhaps worldwide,” Das said.

“The State of Jharkhand is highly conducive for investment. We have all the ingredients in the State which are required to support the growth of business. There is political stability in Jharkhand, the law & order situation is good. We have constituted land bank for industrial development; there is ample availability of skilled manpower. We have constituted a team of experts who would support and facilitate investors in the state at every stage,” he added.
