Twoday long DAV National Sports (Cluster level) Basketball and Handball Tournaments-2015 were inaugurated by Hazaribagh SP Akhilesh Kumar Jha by unfurling the sports flag on Friday. On this occasion commandant of CRPF Munna Kumar Singh was the guest of honor.
After the inauguration the chief guest and guest of honor enjoyed the inaugural basketball match between DAV Hazaribagh and DAV Ghatotand and the inaugural handball match between DAV Rajrappa and DAV Bharechnagar of the boys team.
Addressing the participants SP Akhilesh Kumar Jha said that you must play with team spirit and enthusiasm. Winningor losing the game doesn’t matter, what matters the most is the willing and active participation in the event, he added.
Munna Kumar Singh said that sports keep the body and mind healthy. It is must for us to be physically fit to get success in any field. Sports also inculcate good qualities like honesty, team spirit, discipline, etc. You must play with vigor and enthusiasm.
Principal Ashok Kumar welcomed the Guests and the participants and said that 16 teams of Boys and Girls are participating in this two day long tournaments. The participants have come from DAV Barkakana, DAV Ara-Kuju, DAV Ghatotand, DAV Rajrappa and DAV Hazaribagh.
The winners and runners team at cluster level will participate at Zonal level Sports Tournament.Jaswir Singh and Raghwendra Rao played the role of referee for the inaugural matches of Basketball and Handball respectively.
