Cleanliness is Service programme was launched in Hazaribagh by DC Ravishankar Shukla, SP Anoop Birthare, Executive officer of Municipal Corporation, PHED and Deputy Mayor of Hazaribagh jointly with lighting of lamp in a special programme organised in the Suchna Bhawan of Hazaribagh on Friday.
Addressing the gathering DC Ravishankar Shukla said that a fortnight long special cleanliness programme has been started here as per the direction of government of India. It will conclude on October 2. He said that cleanliness is a service and service always gives satisfaction. Everyone will have to take oath today that they will contribute in keeping their town/village/mohallah clean because without people’s participation the success of this ambitious program cannot be possible.
In this program all the present denizens took oath of keeping their area clean. On this occasion the Deputy Mayor of Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation was felicitated as the town was declared ODF. Some workers were also felicitated during this program for their contribution in sanitation and cleanliness work.
