Clean your town: DC

Published on:

Sanitation needs public participation. Only municipal council or district administration cannot make the town clean and beautiful so it is my appeal to the denizens who love Hazaribagh to come forward to clean the town. It is the appeal of DC Mukesh Kumar who was in streets on Sunday morning for hours on a special cleanliness drive along with MP Jayant Sinha, MlA Manish Jaiswal, other people representatives and common people of the town.

Sharing yesterday’s experience with the media persons of Hazaribagh DC Kumar said that without public participation total cleanliness is not possible. 90% people know that it is not possible for local administration only to make and keep the town clean and hoped that they will own the responsibility. less than 10% understand only tough language and this time we are ready to take action against such people, he added.

With a hope to make the town clean by 2nd October 2015, DC Kumar accepted that encroachment is a main hurdle and said that after March anti-encroachment drive will be started and the bulldozers will first remove encroachments of the big fishes.

Talking about his priorities and future programs Mukesh Kumar informed that 60 Aadhar linked biometric attendance system have been bought and these will be installed at block offices, PHCs etc. In April we will watch the attendance and will issue warning to those found absent and then it will be linked with salary payment of the officers and staffs.

Deputy Commissioner also informed about start of a single window system called Nidan in the district very soon. We will publicize 4-5 mobile numbers on which complaints will be taken by our staff. At Nidan center people can submit their applications related to any department and will get a receipt of their application in which time of disposal will be given. A district level officer will be its nodal officer and he too will keep eye on its functioning.

We are going to launch a GPS enabled app named Hamara Hazaribagh form next month on which complaints can be sent like Whatsapp. Making Hazaribagh collectorate ISO certified is also in my priority list. Soon the collectorate campus will be wifi and CCTV cameras are going to be fitted in important offices. Telemedicine facility for remote areas etc. are also in my priority list, he added.

During this interaction DC Kumar also made it clear that action against all complains and on all news is not possible but assured that everyday some news and complaints will be taken randomly, which will certainly help in bringing things back on track.
