Raj Anand of Indian Team has been felicitated with the prestigious Coubertin Medal in the International Youth Forum at Estonia. Anand is a part of the six member team from St Xavier’s School that was flagged off by CM Raghubar Das from Ranchi on August 16.
The 11th International Pierre De Coubertin Youth Forum was organised in Estonia between August 19 and 26 by the prominent unit of Olympic Committee to give direction to Olympic transformations through ground level works. Part from India, 24 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South and North America have taken part in the event.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das congratulated Raj Anand and his team for the prestigious medal and for displaying team spirit, sportsmanship, Olympic education, community development and arts.
IPCA Patron Jyoti Bhramar Tubid, president Dilip Tirkey, General Secretary Sarojini lakra, Chairman Shivendra Nath Dubey among others have expressed happiness on the feat and said that the students from rural areas of the State will also be trained and encouraged to take part in such competitions.
