City Park is temporarily closed to visitors during the Covid-19 lockdown. During this time sanitization work is being done continuously in the park. Keeping in mind the social distancing and other safety aspects of the city park, the cleanliness of the city park, plantation-pruning, irrigation, plant maintenance, etc. are being done regularly to maintain its beauty anticipating COVID19 eradication soon since nature can never deny its existence for mankind.
The city park has a large artificial lake with amazing greenery as well as three small sized artificial lakes which have been the center of attraction especially for children. On a normal day, the city park is full of tourists throughout the year and people from Bokaro and nearby cities come here to have a picnic and enjoy the view of the park with recreational activities.
