With Holi only a week away, the markets of Ranchi are all set to cash in the festival of colours. Several shops of the city are offering discounts, offers, attractive complimentary gifts and such to woo customers on the occasion of Holi.
Mostly the buyers go for clothes during Holi, so the apparel and lifestyle stores of the city are becoming the spot of convergence for shoppers with the onset of Holi season. latest in trends, in both traditional and western wear, and new stocks have been brought by the storekeepers to cope with the swelling demand in the current season. Also, it is in these clothing stores only that the offers are being made to the customers.
“Under our Holi special offer ‘Holi Hai’, the shoppers who are shopping worth Rs 499 or more are being given a lucky draw coupon. The lucky draw for this will be done on March 28 and the winner will be awarded a motorcycle. We also have added to our stock in every segment before Holi,” informed Vinay Singh, staff at Citi Style, a prominent shopping destination in the city.
Others stores too are not far behind in the race.
“Customers buying clothes totally worth Rs 795 or more can win definite prizes here. We are giving away items like shopping bags, airbags, microwave ovens and refrigerator,” said Dhaneswar Mahto, the return counter in-charge at Kolkata Bazaar.
Many stores are not planning to offer any discount or gifts this Holi season, but are offering a much better range and variety to their customers.
Prakash Bhatia, management staff at Firayalal, stated, “There is not much time left for Holi now and so we are not planning to introduce any discounts or offers but our customers can have new fashion in both traditional and western apparels. We have got attractive range in kurtas and kurtis with much variety. Apparels with embroidery work on them are liked by the customers much. Also, cotton apparels are in huge demand this season. We are offering readymade and unstitched, both kinds of cotton clothes.”
