The prominent city hotels of the State capital are gradually planning to offer summer special food items to the denizens. Some of them have already begun the happy food moment with food festivals while others would soon think of something innovative to attract large numbers of customers.
City residents on the other hand are excited to relish the mouth watering food items and drinks as the temperature is rising day by day.Hotel Capitol Residency began ‘Kebab and Biryani Festival’ from Friday onwards.Green Acres is serving ‘South Indian Dishes’ since April 20 and will continue the same till May 4.Also, they are trying to publicize their event on Facebook so that the youngsters are attracted at large. PS Goswami, a co-owner of Green Acres said, “We are offering discounts on our ongoing offer according to the strength of customers.”“The response is overwhelming. Youngsters with their family members are coming here frequently and preferring to have dosa or uttapam,” the co-owner added.
Apart from variety of kebabs and Biryani, Capitol Residency is serving various kinds of salads and snacks like chat and cold-drinks till May 4.Also, residents will get here the opportunity to taste many types of Indian Breads, lentils, Dessert and Beverages.Soups like Kashmiri Murgh Badami Shorba and Mangaluru Carrot Coconut Shorba will be available. For vegetarians there is lucknowi Kofta Curry and Kashmiri Aloo Dum and Sindhi Vegetable Biryani.
City’s only five-star hotel Radisson Blu is however tentative on introducing such offers. “We would either start with brunch or varieties of juices. As of now the plan is not fixed. There are possibilities of hosting such events but not at present,” a chef said.Hotels including Capitol Hill, Holiday Home, Yuvraj Palace, le lac and BNR Chanakya administrative officials said that they have not thought of any such concept and there are rare chances of conducting such offers.
“In Metro Politian cities majority of the hotels are offering summer special items. Wish that happens soon at Ranchi as well since there are few hang outs to explore within the city,” said college goers Gargi and Tanisha.School students Utsav and Roshni said, “We are free to eat food of our choice in Radisson Blu and le lac. Afterall, the menu is very tasty in these two hotels. Hope they begin summer special offers soon.”
