Anil Kumar Jha, Chairman, CIl addressed employees at CIl Headquarters in Kolkata. The address was webcast live across subsidiaries.
In his first address today, Jha emphasized that all employees of Coal India are like members of a family and taking care of them and their families is of prime importance. If the family is well taken care of, then there is no target which is impossible to achieve. CIl is a store house of talent and dedication, he added.
The Chairman also spoke about how Coal India plays a vital role in the Indian Economy.
As a result of our Government’s ambitious electrification project, electricity has now reached all the villages in India; it is CIl’s duty to supply enough coal to sustain it. He also pointed out that CIl works against all odds and still creates a new production record every year. He emphasized that it is the employees who will create new highs in various aspects of coalmining in the years to come and make India energy secure.
