An introductory meeting of CIL Welfare Board on Monday was organised at Central Coalfields Ltd, Jharkhand-based subsidiary of Coal India under the chairmanship of Director (P/IR), CIL Vinay Ranjan. The meeting was attended by the members of Welfare Board which included Ashok Mishra (BMS), SK Pandey (H.M.S). Ashok Yadav (AITUC) and PS Pandey (CITU). On this occasion, the Executive Director (Welfare & CSR), CIL B Sairam, HOD ( CD & Welfare), CIL Renu Chaturvedi, TS to Director, CIL(P&IR) Gautam Banerjee, Moochandra Singh and other dignitaries were also present.
Director (P&IR), CIL Vinay Ranjan in his address said that the company will upgrade the welfare amenities and the infrastructure facilities for the employees working in the company. He further emphasized that the company will try to provide facilities to them at par with metro cities in support with the members of the Welfare Board.
The members of the welfare board gave their suggestions during the course of the meeting. The suggestions included creation of sports cadre, preparation of sports calendar, quarter repair etc.
Prior to the meeting, CMD CCL welcomed Vinay Ranjan with a bouquet as after joining CIL as Director (P&IR), he presided 1st Welfare Board Meeting at CCL Hqrs in Ranchi. Earlier, Vinay Ranjan was working with ECL and CCL as Director (Personnel). Director Technical (P&P), CCL Bhola Singh, CVO, CCL SK Sinha and others were present to grace the occasion. All the Covid-19 protocols were adhered while conducting the meeting.
Before the onset of introductory meeting, the welcome address was delivered by General Manager (Welfare) CCL Dr. A K Singh, while vote of thanks was proposed by Dy. GM/HOD (CD & Welfare), CIL Renu Chaturvedi.
