On Friday, the team of CID which is investigating the case of extremist links of ex-Minister Yogendra Sao filed a petition in the SDJM court praying remand of his brother Dheerendra Sao for five days. After going through the petition and hearing arguments the court ordered three days’ remand of Dheerendra Sao.

In the morning as the court opened, ASP Anuranjan Kispotta along with other officers reached Hazaribagh court campus. They applied for the remand of Dheerendra Sao in the court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Garima Mishra. After getting the court’s order they went to Jai Prakash Naryan Central jail and gave the papers of remand order to jail authorities. After completing the formalities the jail administration handed over Dheerendra Sao to the CID.

In the meantime, media persons asked ASP Kispotta whether they will keep Dheerendra during remand period, but he refused to reply. On the question of taking Yogendra Sao on remand, he said that after Dheerendra it will be decided who will be the next.

However, the sources hinted that soon a petition will be filed to take MlA Yogendra Sao on remand.

On the other hand, former minister Yogendra Sao was seen being unable to compromise with the jail situation.  He was found restless and uncomfortable throughout the first two nights in the jail. In room no. 7 of Anda Cell of JP Central Jail, Sao was seen awake till late in the night. He had taken food provided by the jail administration.

According to sources, the CID team has already started interrogating Dheerendra Sao. He has been kept in a local police station and the CID is also taking the help of the local police officials in the interrogation. Sources said Dheerendra is being asked about the motto behind the formation of a group like Jharkhand Tiger Force, his role in the group, as also of ex-Minister Sao, etc.

Sources said that Dheerendra was very nervous when the police were asking questions and he was trying to deny everything. CID SP S Tamil Vannan said that during interrogation if anything new comes up, then we will move accordingly and then more arrests can be made. He also refused to comment on taking Yogendra Sao on remand.
