Chinese belligerence is suicidal as it picks up quarrel with each and every country that it could. At present, it is involved in a serious standoff with India on Laddakh border. India is the only country amongst the Chinese neighbours, which has taken the Chinese bull by its horns and put her foot down upsetting all Chinese calculations of a cakewalk which China might have anticipated. It has claimed the Russian city of Vladivostok as its territory without any justification of history and geography. History has taught us that the road to Moscow is fraught with danger and every invader, right from Napoleon to Hitler, have met their nemesis in the extremely cold climate of Russia. History is likely to repeat itself.
China threatened Australia of serious consequences when it demanded an independent investigation into the origin of Covid 19 in Wuhan. U. K has come forward in support of Australia. Joe Biden the President elect of America has taken a tough line against China. The American stance will further harden once it comes to realise that Russia is no longer the rival and enemy number one. China is still regarded merely as a competitor and not as a rival by many quarters in America. The line between a competitor and rival is so thin and shifting that it is very difficult to realise as to when a competitor turned into a formidable foe.
Now the situation is fast changing. The threat to Australia is an ultimatum to America and her western Allies as well because most important of them are part of Five Eyes Alliance Australia belongs to, and China had the audacity to threaten them all. America and her Allies are now very cautious vis- a-vis China and they are silently preparing for a showdown with China. This process has been, in fact, going on for quite sometime There will be no change in this policy, in all likelihood, under Joe Biden also as he has picked up a team which was there during the second tenure of Barack Obama who brilliantly played his role as a world leader. Biden and his team are ready to carry on the role of a world leader that was entrusted to them after the Second World War.
This has led to complete isolation of China so much so that the Japanese Prime Minister Suga has continued the aggressive policy of Shinjua Abe and emboldened to take on China. The naval exercises of QUAD nations are a serious threat to China and China realises it. The Chinese barb against them is an act of frustration. America, Britain and France are carrying out naval exercises in the East China Sea. Russia has also joined them. It means that four permanent members of the U N Security Council are there in East China Sea frowning upon China, also a permanent member of the UN Security Council. This is a critical situation no country would like to be in. China is making statements which are not diplomatic at all and she seems to be out of her mind. China has bought enmity with India by trying to make illegal incursions into the Indian border and by making unnecessary military build-up and carrying out a war of attrition upon India. India is responding to China in a befitting manner. Just imagine, what will happen if India blocks the Chinese supply line going through the Indian Ocean via straits of Malacca in case hostility breaks out between China and others. China cannot take on them alone. In such a situation China is bound to be defeated and hell will break loose upon her. Every minor and major dispute, which is so far under carpet, would come out on the surface. Hong Kong, Taiwan and Tibet would become hot spots for Western nations against China.
It is a golden opportunity for India to settle old score with China. Our strategy should be to defend as well as take aggressive action once the opportunity presents itself. This will give us a chance to recover our lost territories as well as become a strong member of the coalition against China. No wonder, the membership of the Security Council would be offered to us on a silver platter. So, we should not loose the noose China has herself put around her neck. Do not allow China a safe and honourable exit from this horrific situation. China will try to capture Indian Territory by treachery, so guard against it. India has to wait and watch patiently and once the situation is conducive, we should escalate the tension and go for a full-fledged war. China is technically an aggressor and the world will be on our side.
