The children parks in city seem to be unwelcoming to the children – who don’t have the wit to identify the amusement offering instruments. There are many structures in these parks which may cause hurt to childrenporn to accident. Nonetheless these parks seem to be welcoming to the lovebirds who wish to spent times together.
Many amusement equipments such as sliders were broken and posed a threat to the safety of children using them. Most of the parks in the city are suffering from poor maintenance.“Though no major injuries have been reported from this park but in my daily visit I find many kids getting bruises and minor cuts while using the slides mostly those children who come to the parks without their guardians. I think there is an urgent need of maintenance of these slides and play equipments to prevent any major accidents in future,” said Reema Singh, mother of a kid who visits Dada Dadi Park, Moharabadi.
RMC has the responsibilities to initiate steps to change and maintain the play equipment so that children get good and safe rides. Shailendra lal, Deputy chief executive officer, Ranchi Municipal Corporation said, “We are trying our level best to maintain the play rides in all the parks and to provide new rides in the parks. We have reports submitted related to this issue but so far we are unable to make any work progress.”
lovelorn couples sharing intimate moments in the children park is another problem for kisd as well as the lederly people. The children. “The nuisance these couples create like getting physically intimate is distracting for children and disturbing for the guardians .I think administration should keep a strict check on these couples entering the park in fact this is amusement park for children not for adults,” said Rajendra Manjhi, grandfather who accompanies his six year old grandson to the Sido Kanhu Park.
lal further said on this issue, “RMC doesn’t have any strict supervision committees for prevention of such activities or patrolling. We take actions if such cases of indecent behavior are reported. Though we are instructed to keep the boundary of the park not more than 4 feet for visibility but if this fails to improve the condition we may think of installing CCTV cameras in these parks.”
