It was a memorable Sunday for the children of female jail inmates of JP Central Jail, Hazaribagh, as Jail Superintendent Rupam Prasad and Jailor CP Suman not only gave them a chance to come in open air but also arranged good food and tools for fun for them.
Presently there are 13 children of age below 10 years in JP Central Jail with their mothers. Jail Superintendent Rupam Prasad decided to bring smile on their faces and prepared a proposal of sending them out of jail once in a month. The higher officials accepted this proposal and today the day came when the JP Central Jail officials and staffs took them out.
Eight boys and five girls were taken on a picnic first to the Golden Jubilee Cafeteria cum Park and then to Saheed Nirmal Mahto Park. Whole day the children enjoyed in these parks and in the evening went back inside the jail to live with their mothers.
