While addressing annual meeting of State Child Welfare Council, Principal Secretary to Governor, Nitin Madan Kulkarni said council should act by keeping a child in the centre.
Kulkarni said the council must take interest in identifying children deprived of education and facilitate their admission in private schools where 25 per cent seats are reserved for BPl children. Kulkarni said that the parents of children, who are engaged in some or other kinds of work, must be convinced to send their wards to schools. He also asked the council members to organise regular health camps in schools so that the kids remain healthy.
