Two day Chandankiyari Mahastov-2017 kicked off with great fanfare at Chandankiyari in Bokaro on Saturday. Noted social worker of the state Ashok Bhagat inaugurated the event organised in a joint association with Chandankiyari Vikash Samati and district administration Bokaro at Plus 2 High School at Chandankiyari.
Revenue and land Reforms, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Amar Buari (local MlA) distributed assets among the beneficiaries in the event. Three Ambulances, One Bus, 55 Swing Machines, Three mini Tractors, 131 cows were distributed among the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion Bauri said, "Chandankiyari is developing very fast and soon to be turned as a commercial hub of the state. A mega food park involving a proposed cost of Rs225 crore is very soon to come up in Chandankyari with more than ten thousand direct and about one lakhs indirect jobs employment opportunities," said the Minister.
Notably, Triveni Group a real estate company is on move to set up a mega food park in Chandankyari block of Bokaro district. Triveni Group has a 0.5 million tonne integrated steel mill and captive power plant in Seraikela-Kharsawan and low-cost housing projects across the state. The Chandankyari venture would be second food processing park in Jharkhand, informed an official.
