In a MoU signed between the State Government and JIS Foundation, a private education group on Tuesday, the government had agreed to run the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Cakradhpur in Chaibasa District on public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The ITI has been given to JIS for a period of thirty year. The ITI will run two year training programme for students. It will accommodate 20 students every session. Out of which 15 per cent of seats are reserved for Jharkhand students. The institute will be affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Chief Secretary RS Shrama termed this as an important development and said that if that project became successful more ITIs would be opened on PPP model.
