Chaibasa police reached Itwabeda-Jarwa (Banshi) village under Pokharia panchayat of Penk Narayanpur police station on Saturday in search of Awarded Maoist Samar da alias Anmol da.
Penk Narayanpur police station in-charge Suman Kumar also went to the village along with SI Mantu Kumar of Chaibasa's Guddi police station. The SI said that on May 13, 2014, explosives, bullets, detonators, weapons were hidden in the forest to kill policemen in Guddi police station area. While in same sequence police had recovered explosives along with weapons.
Case number-14/2014 had been registered against Samar da in the arms and explosive recovery case and he is most wanted in the police list.
Police has been looking for him for 9 years and a officials poster issued by Podahat Court of Chaibasa was pasted at his house and he was asked to surrender in Chaibasa Court.
Police sources said that Samar da alias Anmol Da is also on the radar of NIA in connection with the strangulation of two bodyguards of former MLA Gurcharan Nayak and the robbery of AK 47 rifles from the bodyguards. The NIA court has issued an arrest warrant against him.
