The CEO of Durgapur Steel Plant, PK Singh, who recently assumed the additional charge as CEO of IISCO Steel Plant, interacted with employees in a large group interaction programme along with ED (F&A) Sudhir Kumar, ED I/c (Projects) RN Das, ED (P&A) Dr N Mohapatra, ED (MM) Himadri Bhattacharya, ED (Works), RK Rathi and ED (Projects) AK Rath.The program organised at the Confluence was attended by general managers, departmental heads, representative of five functioning unions, Secretary (IISCO Officers Association) and a cross section of employees.
Addressing the employees Singh called it as a very crucial moment for ISP, which has already completed its modernisation program and has began production. In view of the Steel sector going through a rough patch, he also called upon concentrated team work to ensure stabilisation of the new plant at the earliest and pave the way for becoming the producer of quality Steel in the country.Participants too spoke freely on various issues facing the plant and came up with innumerable suggestions on improving production and quality.Prior to the interaction Singh in a meeting with general managers and departmental heads also took stock of the situation at ISP, officials informed.
