Centre for Social Entrepreneurship was inaugurated at Ranchi centre of Vikas Bharti Bishnupur on December 12 while the first programme Social Entrepreneurship Award ceremony was also organised on the same day.

Speaking on the occasion Secretary and eminent social thinker Padam Shri Ashok Bhagat said, “Government job is a misleading and mythical slogan. No government in the world has the courage to hire all the youth and give 100 percent jobs. If we have to live with self respect, then we have to become self reliant and live our lives on self employment.”

“If people are integrated with traditional employment and their handicrafts are made sophisticated and adapted as per the changing times, then employment can be created on a large scale. Self sufficient people have stood up during the Corona epidemic. Jharkhand women have done amazing work by leading a life of dignity and providing employment to thousands of others,” added Bhagat.

Tussar Institute Director JP Pandey informed the entrepreneurs about the training programmes offered by the institute and stated that 80 percent of the country’s tussar is produced in Jharkhand which can prove to be a big source of self employment.

Referring to the slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, vice president of the organisation Ranjana Choudhary said that now the time has come when we should stand up for ourselves, our society, our state and our country by relying on ourselves and not the world.

Towards the end of the programme Bhagat honoured entrepreneurs by giving them shawls and citations.
