CEMCA imparts quality training to skill development teachers

For quality skill training of the youth of Jharkhand, special emphasis is being laid on the skill and ability of the trainers. Selected teachers from various skill development centres operated in the State are being given special classroom and practical training for this. A venture skill is being conducted at Din Dayal Upadhyaya Skill Centre in Ranchi in collaboration with Common Wealth Education & Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA).

As per the various programmes of the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society, a total of 60 trainers including those from Din Dayal Upadhyaya skill centre and 20 training providers under the Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme will participate in this 11 day programme. The selected trainers will be trained in batches of 20 in three phases.

In the 11- day programme, for the first six days classroom training is being imparted after which the trainers are sent to their departments for a further training of two weeks. During the course trainers are being encouraged to inculcate students’ interest in the topics and also make communication between students and teachers easy.

This is also making the trainers eligible for Quality Check Norms (QC Norms) and is helping them in preventing any cases of drop outs.

Chief Executive officer of JSDMS, Amar Jha is monitoring the programme at regular intervals.

He said that this programme is showing positive changes in the trainers. It will also bring easy access to the skill development courses in the State and help the youth in quality skill training.
