A meeting of peace committee was called under the chairmanship of DC Binod Kumar at the district collectriate hall.
On the occasion, Binod Kumar extended his warm wishes on Holi and said, “The festival is celebrated per year peacefully in the district. This year the people of several communities must enjoy it brotherly and peacefully. The admin would keep strict vigil upon unsocial elements. In each Chowk a Penalty officer would be deployed.”
The BDOs, COs and thana-in-charges were instructed to assure intensive patrolling. On the day all wine shops would be closed. A district control room would work 24x7. The PHED dept must assure the availability of water.
SP Rajkumar lakra said, “The police would also keep strict eye upon social media as Whatsapp and Facebook.
“No one should post any provoking messages. The group admin must assure this. Otherwise action against them would be taken.”
On the occasion AC Ranjeet Sinha, SDO Raj Maheshwaram, all COs, BDOs, Thana-in-charges, members of Peace committee and other officials were present.
