CCL won two awards at the Mine Safety Awards 2024 ceremony held in Kolkata on Sunday.
In this historic event organized by Coal India Limited under the aegis of Directorate General of Mine Safety (DGMS), Sayal D Opencast Mine was awarded the first prize in the small opencast mine category and Ashok Opencast Mine was awarded the second prize in the medium opencast mine. For the first time in the history of the award, participants from coal, metal and oil mining companies participated together.
Director General of Mine Safety Prabhat Kumar was present as the chief guest on the occasion, while Chairman of Coal India Limited PM Prasad presided over the function.
The collective efforts of DGMS, Coal India Limited and other companies successfully demonstrated the importance of maintaining high safety standards in mines.
