The third CCl Badminton Tournament was inaugurated by Director (Personnel), CCl, R S Mahapatro here at CCl headquarters on Saturday.
Tournament will be held from May 21 to May 23. In this tournament around 130 children of 10 to 13 years from Ranchi, Ramgarh and Gumala will participate in four different categories. Chief Guest, RS Mahapatro inaugurated the tournament by playing badminton and also interacted with all the young participants.
On the occasion, Mahapatro said that for holistic development of a child, sport is very important. Sports also promote discipline, punctuality and team spirit in everyone. He said that these tournaments provide platform for young talents to display their skills and reach new heights. Mahapatro said that CCl is committed towards well being of children and promotion of different sports and therefore regularly organise these kinds of tournament and sports camps.
On this occasion, Dr. P.K. Gupta, CMS, Gandhinagar Hospital, P. Bhattacharjee, TS to Director (Pers), Manjula Sharma Chief Manager (Pers.), Shailendra Singh (COS), Adil Hussain Manager (Sprots) and others were present. Welcome speech was given by RR Sharma, Sr. Manager (Pension).
