A meeting of governing body of the Central Coalfields Employees Benevolent Fund Society (CCEBFS) was held at CCl Headquarters on Tuesday. Members of the CCEBFS include executive as well as non-executive employees of the company.
About 38,000 employees of CCl are members of this society and they are getting benefits as per norms. Director (Personnel), CCl RR Mishra, who is also the president of CCEBFS, presided the meeting.
Addressing the governing body members, Mishra said that this society is providing death benefits, scholarship for education, loan for daughters' wedding, medical benefits for diseases like TB, cancer, paralysis etc., where it takes quite long to recover.
General Manager (P & IR) KS Patro welcomed the members and informed that the society was established after Chas Nallah massacre. Chief Manager (Finance) S P Pal provided the financial status of the society.
The governing body members discussed various aspects to strengthen the CCEBFS in order to make it more beneficial. Suggestions were sought from the members of the CCEBFS. KS Patro conducted the proceeding and vote of thanks was proposed by general manager (NEE) RS Mahapatro.
