Hazaribagh district and police administration has imposed CC Act (Crime Control Act) on former Agriculture Minister of Jharkhand Yogendra Sao. Now Sao will remain behind the bars though he had got bails in all the cases pending against him.
Ex-MlA-cum-Minister Yogendra Sao is in jail since 3rd week of August when he was arrested from a hotel at Ranchi in the case lodged against him in Barkagaon PS by SDO Hazaribagh on the incident of August 14. He had organised a rally at Barkagaon defying Section 144 imposed there. Near R&R Colony of NTPC at Dhenga Village the mob turned violent and police used force to control the mob in which some people had got bullet injuries.
After this incident Sao was absconding and after about ten days he was arrested. He is in jail since then and was waiting for bail in this case. Her wife MlA Nirmala Devi was also arrested during last assembly session in this case. last month she came out of jail after getting bail. On Monday, the court granted Yogendra Sao bail but due to imposition of CC Act he was not released.
The district and session judge court and other courts have granted bails to Sao in every case going on against him. On Monday, before the issue of the release order from the court, the district and police administration jointly sent a letter to the court informing the imposition of CC Act.
After this development, Sao’s legislator wife Nirmala Devi said that it is a conspiracy of the Jharkhand government which has used the district administration as a tool to save the interests of corporate houses.
