CBSE Physics paper tough, say students

Majority of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 students came out of the examination halls upset on Wednesday, after submitting their Physics board papers.

Delhi Public School (DPS) student Harsh Raj in a sad tone said that Physics board paper was particularly tough this year especially the numerical portion as compared to that of previous year. “The paper was very tough. I found solving the numerical section quite challenging. I am tensed thinking of the result and my future ahead.” like him another student said that this is a subject where many aim to secure a centum but this time the scenario is vis a versa. Mathematics and Physics are the crucial papers at the time of cut-offs and college admissions. “The dream of getting into a good college is at stake now. Physics ended with tears now Mathematics is yet to come,” he added.

However, the school principals and subject teachers do not agree with the students complain. DPS principal J Mohanty said, “I would not say the paper was difficulty but it was unfamiliar experience for the students as papers in the previous years were in different tone and more aligned to textbooks.” “The paper had several unexpected questions and the class XII board papers is a career defining paper in terms of admission. Perhaps the anxiety of writing board examination contributed to the situation. The students might have been able to answer the paper better in class,” added DAV Bariatu Principal Divya Singh.

Interestingly, for class- 10th students who took Hindi paper on Wednesday examination was a breeze. Student of DAV Bariatu Akash Jain with a smile on his face said, “The paper was not stereotypical. The paper was easy and had value based questions. Till now it is proving a good start.” “Next paper is on Friday another language paper (English), I wish this paper end on happy note,” said Bibhore Mittal.
