Ranchi: The CBI court on Wednesday rejected the bail application of RK Agrawal, accused in the horse trading case during Rajya Sabha elections of 2012. The CBI in its chargesheet filed at the special CBI court of RK Chaudhary had also accused Agrawal along with the other five persons in the scam.
Agrawal was charged of giving Rs 50 lakh to the JMM legislator Sita Soren for getting her vote in the Rajya Sabha Elections.The income tax department had also seized Rs 2.15 crore on the day of polling from a vehicle coming towards Ranchi which, allegedly belonged to a relative of Agarwal after which, the Rajya Sabha Election was countermanded by the Election Commission. The CBI had arrested Agrawal on June 14.
